Corporate Citizenship for a Greener and Happier Planet

In a world where everything is made out of plastic and metal, green is always a refreshing change. A lot of corporations have decided to embrace an environment friendly lifestyle and it is undoubtedly a welcome change. Mother Nature has definitely been abused in the last few decades, or maybe even longer than that. It is about time that the big leagues showed us the right way to do things. Corporate social responsibility as a lifestyle imposes a triple bottom line: people, planet, profit. With more and more companies joining the campaign for social awareness, consumers should be expecting a greener world in the years to come.

Fortunately, corporate social responsibility means that these entities are changing their approach towards consumers. Most businesses today not only take care of their name, but also take care of society and nature. It has become a norm to create products or services that cater to the complete well-being of the people and our planet. These companies promote sustainable living by launching projects or campaigns that help the Earth and society. Of course, it involves effort and profit in two ways, whether the approach is community-based development or philanthropy.

Corporate social responsibility is all about good leadership and good followership. When we see our leaders doing it, we will do it too. The lifestyle encourages everyone to unite and help out in their communities, and their good deeds will eventually extend to the rest of the nation and then to the whole world. By practicing corporate citizenship, we will be assured of a world free from poverty and pollution.

So, what do you think?
